About our speaker ....
Steven A. Schellberg, a native of Forest City, Iowa, is a 1984 graduate of the University of Iowa. He was commissioned an Ensign in the United States Navy in February 1985 and designated a Naval Aviator in March 1986. He is a 1990 graduate of the United States Naval Test Pilot School and a 1996 graduate of the Naval Post Graduate School's Aviation Safety School.
Mr. Schellberg joined Piasecki Aircraft Corporation in December 2000. He is Program Manager for the Vectored Thrust Ducted Propeller Advanced Technology Demonstration Program, Director of Flight Test, and Chief Test Pilot.
Mr. Schellberg is also a Commander in the United States Navy Reserve. He has completed two deployments in support of Joint Special Operations Forces in the Iraqi Area of Operations. His active duty assignments included tours with the Rotary Wing Aircraft Test Directorate and the United States Naval Test Pilot School where he was the Chief Flight Instructor and Senior Rotary Wing Instructor.
Mr. Schellberg is married to Michelle Marie Hardman of Hollywood, Maryland. They have three children; Rachel, Benjamin, and Kristen.
