AHS Congratulates AeroVelo on Its Successful HPH Flights

AeroVelo's Atlas rises about 5 ft in altitude

AeroVelo has made major progress in its pursuit of the AHS Igor I. Sikorsky Human Powered Helicopter Competition. Successful flight tests this month of its Atlas HPH have resulted in extended hover times and altitudes. Flights on Friday, January 25 achieved about 30 seconds on one flight and an altitude of 4-5 feet (based on the lowest points of the four rotor systems).

More information on the AHS HPH Competition is available at www.vtol.org/hph. Past articles and videos on the competitors are available at www.vtol.org/hph-news.

Stay tuned for updates in the pursuit of the AHS Sikorsky Prize!
