I received an error telling me I need to enable cookies on my browser. What can I do?

There are two ways to resolve this error. One is to set your browser to allow cookies across the board; the other is to allow cookies only from selected sites, such as AHS or the AHS membrship database. We'll provide step by step instructions for both methods for the following browsers:

Internet Explorer 7 and older

1. Go to Tools > Internet Options and click the "Privacy" tab (NOTE: depending on version, your browser may not look the same as the examples provided. The steps, however, are the same):

2. If you wish to change cookie settings for all sites, click the "Advanced" button. If you wish to allow cookies only for selected sites, click the "Sites" button. NOTE: for security and privacy purposes, AHS recommends allowing cookies only for selected sites.

3. To allow cookies for all sites: in the window that appears when the "Advanced" button is clicked, if cookies are set to "Block," change them to "Accept." If the options are grayed out, check the "Override automatic cookie handling" box. Next, click "OK."

4. To allow cookies for selected sites: in the window that appears when the "Sites" button is clicked, paste the following URL into the "Address of website" box: https://live.connect.daxko.com (note: this is the URL for the AHS membership database).

Click the "Allow" button to add the site, and then click "OK."

5. This should complete the process. Note that you may need to restart your browser to proceed without error.

Internet Explorer 8 and above

1. Go to Tools > Compatibility View settings:

2. In the window that appears, make sure that "daxko.com" appears in the "Add this website" box, and that both checkboxes are checked. Click the "Add" button, and then "Close."

3. This will refresh the page, which should then load normally. NOTE: if these steps do not resolve the issue, please try the steps used for older versions of Internet Explorer.

Firefox

1. Go to Tools > Options or click the Menu icon and then "Options." Next, click the "Privacy" tab (NOTE: depending on version, your browser may not look the same as the examples provided. The steps, however, are the same):

2. In the "History" section, click the pulldown menu for "Firefox will" and select "Use custom settings for history." Make sure the box for "Accept cookies from sites" is checked.

3. If you wish to change cookie settings for all sites, set the pulldown menu next to "Accept third-party cookies" to Always, and next to "Keep until" to "they expire." If you wish to allow cookies only for selected sites, click the "Exceptions" button. NOTE: for security and privacy purposes, AHS recommends allowing cookies only for selected sites.

4. To allow cookies for selected sites: in the window that appears when the "Exceptions" button is clicked, paste the following URL into the "Address of website" box: https://live.connect.daxko.com (note: this is the URL for the AHS membership database).

Click the "Allow" button to add the site, and then click "Close."

5. Regardless of whether you followed Step 3 or 4, click "Okay." This should complete the process. Note that you may need to restart your browser to proceed without error.

Safari

1. Go to Edit > Preferences or click the settings icon and then "Preferences." Next, click on the "Privacy" tab (NOTE: depending on version, your browser may not look the same as the examples provided. The steps, however, are the same):

2. If you wish to allow all cookies, click on the "Never" button. To block all cookies, select "Always" button under "Block cookies."

3. To allow cookies from selected sites, click on the "From third parties and advertisers" button. This would allow you to recieve cookies only from websites you visit, such as the AHS membership database, and block everyone else.NOTE: for security and privacy purposes, AHS recommends allowing cookies only for selected sites.

I'm an AHS member. How can I access my free Paper of the Month, free Vertiflites and member discounts on the AHS Online Store?

There are two ways to receive your member benefits at the AHS online store:

Directly at the AHS Online Store

1. While browsing a paper, you should see a link to "Join or log in to receive the member price of $--!" This link is located just above the "Add to Cart" button.

2. Clicking the link will invoke a login window. Please enter your AHS member credentials. Note that your AHS member credentials may be different than those of your store account (if you have one).

3. Once your active membership login has been processed, the screen will refresh and the member price will now be available to you. You can then add the item to your cart and continue shopping at the AHS Online Store, or complete the checkout process.

4. In case you log in to your account with the AHS Online Store before activating the member price, a member login link is also available on the "My Account" page. Remember, your store credentials might not be the same as your AHS member credentials.

5. Note that if you add an item to your cart before activating the member price, you will need to remove the regularly-priced item from your cart, and add it again once member pricing has been activated.

Via My AHS

1. Log onto My AHS with your AHS membership credentials.

2. Once logged in, towards the lower right you will see a link for the AHS Online Store. Click this link - this will take you to the AHS Online Store and allow you to receive member discounts like the Paper of the Month and free online Vertiflites.

3. Select the Paper of the Month, Vertiflites or any additional items you wish and add them to your cart.

4. Once you have added everything to your cart, click the red button for "Start Checkout."

5. At this point, you will need to either create an account or log into your store account. Please note that your store login is different than your AHS member login.

6. Once you have logged in to your store account, click through the order process until you reach the "Complete Order" button.

7. You will now arrive at the order confirmation page. Select the link on the lower portion of that page to download your items.

8. Note that you can log back in at a later date and re-download any previously ordered papers under "My Account."
